We record information about how you use My Little Circle — for example, screens you have viewed, activities you have saved, and searches you have made.

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• IP address and approximate location (to show nearby venues and activities)
• Crash reports and performance data to help us fix issues

Information from third parties

• If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name and email address from that provider
• Venue and activity data from public sources such as local council websites

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information you provide, or that we record about you, to:

• Administer the account you sign up for
• Provide personalised lists of relevant activities and venues based on your child's age and your location
• Enable community features such as finding local families and private messaging
• Send you important administrative messages (e.g. significant changes to our terms)
• Respond to emails and messages you send us
• Send you marketing messages if you have opted in

3. Children's Data

We take the privacy of children very seriously. My Little Circle is intended for parents and carers aged 18 and over — not for direct use by children.

• We collect limited information about your child (age range) solely to personalise activity recommendations for you as their parent or carer
• This data is never used for advertising purposes
• We do not share children's data with third parties except where strictly necessary to deliver the service
• You may request deletion of your child's data at any time by contacting us at legal@mylittlecircle.co.uk

4. Retention of Your Data

• We will delete your account data if you have not used My Little Circle for 2 years
• We will anonymise all interaction data that is older than 12 months
• Financial and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with legal obligations

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time — we will respond within 14 days. You may delete your account from within the app. If you delete your account, we will delete all your account data and anonymise any tracking data connected to it.

5. Transfer of Your Information to Third Parties

We will never sell your personal data. We may share it in the following circumstances:

Companies who provide services to My Little Circle

We use third parties to help us provide our services (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics, customer support). In all cases we will have a suitable data sharing agreement in place to protect your information.

If we buy, sell, or transfer any business or assets, or go into insolvency or receivership, we may need to disclose your personal information to the relevant parties.

Legal obligations

If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data to comply with any legal obligation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of My Little Circle, our users, or others.

6. Publicly Accessible Information

If you include personal information in content you post publicly — for example when leaving a review or posting in a community area — it may be possible for other users to identify you or for third parties to collect that information. Please be mindful of what you share in public areas of the app.

7. Location Data

We use your device location (with your permission) to show nearby venues and activities. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time; some features will be limited as a result. We do not store your precise real-time location history.

8. Where We Store Your Data

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers located in the United Kingdom and other European Economic Area countries. We will take reasonable steps to ensure any transfers of your data outside the EEA are compliant with applicable data protection laws. The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure — any transmission is at your own risk, and once received we use strict security measures to prevent unauthorised access.

9. Marketing Communications

You may opt in to receive marketing messages from us. You can manage your preferences in your account settings or via the unsubscribe link in any marketing communication.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
